Our marathon race began with the company founded by the late Mehmet Zorlu, our father, in the Babadağ district of Denizli city in 1953.
In those years, we surely did not know that our race would continue for such a long time without any stumbling, and after some 53 years we would place ourselves in the first rows in the Turkiye league, and we would also show ourselves off in the world league. Stil, we knew well also on that day that we would always behave our staff and our business partners justly and responsibly under any circumstances, be hardworking and disciplined in order to be more and more successfull, and be honest and restpectful to the society we lived in and to all mankind, and that we would never lose our responsibility conscious towards our country.
We never made concessions on our values, which were inherited us by our father, taught us by him from the very first day and almost penetrated into our genes, and neither will we make any concession on them from now on.
The Zorlu culture is the guaranty of our tomorrows
What makes us different, what makes us successfull and esteemed not just ‘today’ but in every period of time and in the long run, and what also guaranties continuity of our accomplishments is this integrity of values which may also be called as the ‘Zorlu culture’.
Today I observe with satisfaction that all the managers and employees working under Our Group have assimilated this culture and they also transfer it to friends who joined us recently. From the sales and service points throughout Turkiye to our factories in Russia or South Africa, from our companies and offices at one end of USA or China to our thousands of employees working in tens of countries, the same air is breathed on every point under the Zorlu flag.
The greatest capital we owned today is just this ‘common spirit and thinking’. How fortunate for us that we have succeeded this, the hardest.
Our target is to spread to the world while protecting our culture
Our target for the following years is clear and simple: by the Zorlu culture and our differentiated products and services, to become the preference of much more people year by year, to increase the number of our factories and companies that serve as a ‘bridge legs’ all over the world, and to multiply our production units and employment, which have always their foundations in our country. To keep one step ahead of the competition in order to succeed this. To be a Pioneer in Research & Development, innovation, trademark and productivity.
I know that the power we need to reach our target is exist in the minds and hearts of all my friends, from workers to engineers, from sellers to salesmen who walk under the flag of Zorlu. By my belief in this power, I look into the future with a great hope.I know that all our dreams will also be realized one by one from now on, as until now. In the name of Zorlu Group, I thank once more all of our employees who believe in us on this purpose, walk with us, and support us by sharing our dreams, our customers, our investors, our business partners and social shareholders.
